140th Anniversary: Come Home

Save the Date for our Saint Paul 140th Anniversary Celebration: Come Home! Founded in 1883, this year marks the 140th anniversary of Saint Paul Methodist Church in Goldsboro. Come Home and join us for a fun weekend as we remember the blessings of the past, celebrate in thanksgiving for the present, and praise God for the future to come at Saint Paul Methodist Church!

Saturday, October 28th

We will “tee up” our Anniversary weekend on Saturday, October 28th with our Golf Tournament hosted by the Methodist Men at 1pm at Walnut Creek.

Then, at 5pm on Saturday, everyone is invited to “drop in” to our Family Fall Festival in the Saint Paul Parking Lot. The theme for the Fall Festival is “The Big Drop” and there will be games, food, and fun with a kid’s story time focused on dropping everything and following Jesus.

Sunday, October 29th, is our big 140th Anniversary Worship Service at 11am.

This will be one combined worship service filled with music and celebration as we give thanks for the 140 years of history at Saint Paul.

This will be an outdoor worship service under a large tent in the Saint Paul Parking Lot. **Please bring an outdoor chair for seating. Also, the Parking Lot will be closed off to cars due to the tent, so everyone will need to park along the street that morning.

After the worship service, we will have a potluck lunch. We are roasting a pig and will have fried chicken, but we need everyone to bring a side dish or a dessert to share for the potluck meal. There will be special gospel and quartet music during the lunch as well.

This will be a weekend to remember on October 28th and 29th!
